Google Emulates Bing with Search Results Side Panel

When Bing launched just under a year ago, its headliner feature was the consistent side panel that lets users refine search results. On Wednesday, Google followed suit with a new search result page which also features a left side panel for result filtering by news, images, blogs, shopping, and more. Of course, there are differences.
