The explosion of an asteroid, three times's size the bomb on Hiroshima

An asteroid with a width of about 10 meters above Indonesia exploded with a force three times greater than the Hiroshima bomb, but no one heard of him until the explosion.
The incident occurred over the island of Sulawesi, on October 8, 2009, but this was made public only a few days ago, revealing once again how the ‘blind’ is mankind before a possible impact with an asteroid.

NASA has estimated that the chemical reaction was the equivalent of 50,000 tons of explosives, making it one of the largest such explosion ever observed.

Fortunately, the explosion did not cause any damage to soil, as occurred at an altitude of 15-20 km above the Earth’s surface.
Scientists were concerned that said asteroid was not detected by any telescope and pointed out that if an asteroid of a size such as intart in collision with the earth, would have produced a real disaster.
